Sunflower is a nickname I acquired from my best friends in the whole world, my YaYa flower pals!  I am blessed to have these women in my life and thank my lucky stars for them every day!  As we all know, it is rare to see a sunflower growing alone, and with this said, I think my name suits me as I enjoy having a plethora of people around me, growing with me.  I am married to a wonderful man and we have 2 children.  I am first a wife and mom, then writer, casual social worker and crafter.  I consider myself a christian (Lutheran) and though I don’t get preachy, you will often see these beliefs reflected in a quiet way in my writing.  I have faith that I am on a God directed path in my life and try to enjoy every second of it!  I am hesitant to unleash my private life in a blog, so this may be all the general public gets for now.
